Commemorating Independence

Coinciding with the Moroccan Independence Day, the premiere of 'FEZ SUMMER ‘55' was not just a cinematic event but a cultural tribute. The film poignantly celebrates the struggle for Morocco's independence, uniquely portrayed through the eyes of a child from the Medina.

Symbolism in Timing

The screening's timing, aligned with the week of Morocco's independence celebrations, added profound symbolism to the event. 'FEZ SUMMER ‘55' offered a fresh perspective on colonial history, resonating deeply with oppressed minorities across the globe.

Bridging Cultures

As highlighted by Mr. Reinsalu, this premiere marked a significant milestone in cultural exchange between Estonia and Morocco. The film transcended its role as a piece of entertainment, becoming a conduit for deeper understanding and connection between the two nations.
